Five Contemporary Art Works Submitted to D Art Slam.

Provide a Brief Biography.

Contemporary Artist. Photographer. Writer. While cubism and abstract art were my early influences, I had always been drawn to geometrics and their palettes found in both nature and inanimate objects. In 2007, I explored contemporary art, using my photography as the base-medium. The image’s natural tones and hues created an energy that attracted the mind and spirit; thus, reaffirming that color and imagery is still capable of capturing our soul. My work possesses an energy that engages the senses and seemed to bring my influences full circle. The result was three unique styles, Zurich, Kaleidoscopography and Natural Patterns.

Brief Description About Your Style.

Organic and inanimate objects serve as the inspiration as they offer such wonderful geometrics and color. Hence, my photography is the base-medium for two unique contemporary art styles, Kaleidoscopography and Zurich, which I created.

Kaleidoscopography: Vibrant patterns, rich with the original image’s color, hues and tonal properties! The work is a visual experience, where some works seem to change with distance and perspective.

Zurich: Based upon one image, this work pushes the design envelope by deft manipulation of image elements and color. The style inspires elegance, energy and passion and has produced powerful works!

Type of Medium.

Photographic-based Contemporary Art on Chromographic Print. Mounted using the Cold Press Method - The print is placed on aluminum, then clear acrylic is pressed onto the print and aluminum.
